Facebook has recently launched a new feature in its latest updates Business Suit, which are an integrate package that allows to receive the messages in one inbox, in addition to posting on Instagram and Facebook platforms simultaneously, and getting all the statistics related to the performance of adverting campaigns on various social media platforms.
The process of discovering new business in the news feed is one of the most important of these features, in addition to the story scheduling feature, that enable users to create stories within Facebook Business Suit application, then schedule them for Facebook and Instagram.
Scheduling Facebook stories:
Facebook Business Suit new application gives you the ability to create stories within it and then schedule them on Facebook and Instagram, as we mentioned before, to display all these scheduled posts on your content calendar within the application.
This feature is considered as the first of its kind on Facebook, as the previous scheduling was restricted to posts and videos only.
Which caused frustration for e-business owners, and commercial activities and advertisers, that is why Facebook application created the solutions for this problem and launched its new update, which allows Business Suit users to save their posts on Facebook and Instagram as drafts, which increases the planning’s flexibility to follow your own stories approach.
Due to the increasing popularity of story’s formatting, the commercial brands are already thinking about merging the vertical integration formatting within the line of communication strategy used in smart phones.
And Facebook is always working on providing more tools that get brands to take the better approach of their stories.
How to use Facebook stories for business:
Create Facebook page:
Before of think about using Facebook stories in your business, you must have your own page for which you are the editor or the admin.
Click on “create”.
It will appear in front of you as the picture shows, click “get started”
Select a name for your page that represents your business.
Then select the category of your business, which you are creating the page for.
After submitting this information, you can choose a cover and profile picture for your page
Start using Facebook stories
You can share your stories on Facebook through your PC, or by Facebook application, or Facebook light and even messenger, this is not like Instagram, which only allows sharing stories through the Instagram’s mobile application.
When you share a video clip or picture in story feature on Facebook, your friends and followers can see it on the top of your news feed, and on the top of messenger’s inbox, where the story stays for 24 hours.
And if you want to share stories on the Facebook’s page you are creating stories for, click the Hamburger button ‘’ three horizontal lines’’, and click on the name of your page for which you want to create stories.
Create content for Facebook stories:
Check out your stories camera, and enjoy the creative features that you can access.
Front and rear camera: you can switch between the front and the rear camera by clicking on the camera button shown in picture.
With the ability to change camera views during recording
Flashlight setting: there are three flashlight different options (flicker, no flicker, moon and cloud icon for low light)
Camera setting: click the setting icon on the screen’s upper corner.
Filters: Facebook offers many of filters, which created by the stories users.
Upload pre-recording content: you can upload image or video clip recorded and saved in your studio, by clicking the image icon in the screen’s lower corner.
The options for recording stories on Facebook: you have 4 options for recording which are:
Live stream, video, normal, and Boomerang, for normal record press on the record button to capture a picture, or press and hold on the button to take an only 20 seconds video clip.
If you have selected video mode, click once on the record button to start recording the clip, then click again to stop it.
As for Boomerang, after clicking on it, it combines a group of photos to create a short animation, that runs back and forth.
Live option takes you to live stream with your followers and friends.
Use creative tools for Facebook stories:
It’s good to use stickers, links, drawing tools, backgrounds, effects and other creative tools, to make your story more unique and creative.
For example, you can use name labels for polls to get audiences reviews about your products
Or use @ sticker to refer to another user, while writing his account name in your story.
And you can also click on the magic wand button to obtain special effects and animations.
After you create the story you want, you can add a custom link or CTA to you story.
Adding special buttons and links for your Facebook story:
Adding a custom link to your Facebook story, enables viewers to select ‘’ view more’’ to open the page in their Facebook browser.
You can also add CTA button such as ‘’ shop now’’ and others within you story in order to direct viewers to a specific page, that is actually linked to your Facebook account.
Share your stories on Facebook:
After completing creating your story, and adding some creative touches, you can save it to your own device (Auto save can be activated), or share it in the news feed and the page story, or share it individually with the followers.
Monitor your Facebook stories analytics:
There are several ways to track and monitor the performance of your stories including:
- Go to one of your active stories and click the eye icon in the lower corner of the screen, a list of people who have viewed it will appear.
- See statistics about the performance of you Facebook stories, by activating Facebook stories insights, by going to your page on the desktop and clicking on insights at the top.
In the right column, click on the stories, then click on ‘’play’’ button.
Returning to the statistics you will see information about:
- Date of publishing.
- Elements of the story.
- Status (active or terminated).
- The number of people who viewed your story.
- The number of times a follower clicks to skip to the next part of your story (Forward Taps).
- The number of times a follower clicks to return to the previous part of your story (Backward Taps).
- The number of times a follower swipe to skip to the story of the next account (Forward swipes).
- How often followers exit the story and return to news feed.
Facebook news feed recommendations:
Facebook over years has tried to work on the recommendations, which are related to news feed topics, and testing separate news feed lists that are compatible with the topic at the same time, but the new approach in recent updates seeks to focus on business discovery, with the aim expanding e-commerce on Facebook through online stores and other tools.
Facebook confirms that the new recommendations will appear in the feed posts on various topics such as beauty, fashion and restaurants, allowing users to find content from relevant companies.
Facebook has introduced new advertising options, which are:
- Converting leads ads templates to messenger templates to follow up with potential clients.
- The new goals in advertising is ‘’potential customers’’ that enable the advertiser to improve customers by converting them into actual customers.
- New contact ads that allow advertisers to display the ‘’ contact now’’ button in their ads, which is providing more immediate communication, with your Facebook promotions.
